Day 2 Sat Feb 17                                   Arrive Israel
Arrive Ben Gurion airport. Meet and greet at the airport. Drive through Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest metropolitan area. Visit the ancient seaport of Jaffa, Joppa (Acts 10) the port from which Jonah set sail and Peter raised Tabitha. Transfer to hotel for dinner.

Day 3 Sun Feb 18                                  Coastal Plain - Galilee
Drive through the Sharon Plain “Way of the Sea” to Caesarea Maritima (Acts 10, 24, 26). Tour Herod’s impressive port city. Here Roman governors such as Pontius Pilate, Felix (Acts 24) and Festus (Acts 26) ruled. The Roman Centurion Cornelius received the gospel, and Paul made his famous defence before King Agrippa. Travel through Mt. Carmel for a view of the Jezreel Valley to Meggido (Revelations 16:16) which gives its name to “Armeggedon”. Continue to Nazareth boyhood home of Jesus to visit Nazareth Village to learn about life in a Jewish Agricultural village 2000 years ago. Visit the Synagogue Church in Nazareth for time of prayer. Continue to view Mount Precipice (Luke 4).

Day 4 Mon Feb 19                                  Sea of Galilee - Golan Heights
Worship on the Sea of Galilee sailing on wooden boat with singing and dancing. Visit the newly excavated site of Magdala. Visit Capernaum (Matt 8) Jesus’ ministry base. Continue to the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7) overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Visit Korazim. Travel north to visit Caesarea Phillipi (Matt 16) site of Jesus’ question to his disciples: “Who do men say that I am?” (20 min personal time). Visit Mt. Bental Bunker to view the Golan Heights region.

Day 5 Tue Feb 20                                   Jordan Valley - Jerusalem
Visit the Jordan River. Visit Return Ministries project in the Jordan Valley. Then travel south along the Jordan Valley to visit Beth Shean, a reconstructed Roman City. Continue via Kaser El Yehud Baptism Site and Jericho to the Judean Wilderness. Visit Genesis Land for a visit at Abraham’s Tent and a chance to ride a camel. Enter the city of the Great King Jerusalem for a first view of the Holy City. “Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:2).

Day 6 Wed Feb 21                                  Jerusalem - Bethlehem
In the morning visit the Israel Museum the amazing 50:1 Model of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus and the Shrine of the Book which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. Drive through Government Hill to view the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) and see the famous Menorah. Visit the City of David the earliest part of Jerusalem, which David conquered from the Jebusites. Explore the Canaanite water system and the water tunnel King Hezekiah dug at the time of the Assyrian siege and see the Pool of Siloam. View the audio visual that will help us visualize the stone ruins as they were 3000 years ago. View Temple Mount where Jesus taught daily whenever he was in Jerusalem. Now the Moslem shrines of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque stand there. Take time to pray at the Western Wall and visit the Jewish Quarter and Davidson Centre viewing the extensive archaeological excavations that have unearthed a wall built by King Hezekiah and Herod’s monumental entranceway to the Temple. Continue to Bethlehem (Luke 2) the traditional birthplace of Jesus and nearby shepherds fields. After dinner enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Tower of David.

Day 7 Thu Feb 22                                   Jerusalem
Today experience the Way of The Cross. Travel to the Mt. of Olives (Matt 24, 25) for a breathtaking panorama over the Old City of Jerusalem. As you descend the hill, remember that Jesus often travelled this descent and taught his disciples along the way and remember his weeping over the city in the midst of his triumphal entry. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane area (Matt 26)
and visit Mt. Zion, Room of the Last Supper and Cayafa’s house, Old City traditional walk of Jesus, Antonia Fortress, Pools of Bethesda (John 5) and where Jesus healed the man paralysed 38 years. Ending at Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Garden Tomb a peaceful place for our group to reflect on the Lord’s death and resurrection. Afternoon visit to Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum.

Day 8 Fri Feb 23                                     Massada - Dead Sea
Travel to the lowest area in the World the Dead Sea to visit Massada. Ascend by cable car to explore the Fortress of King Herod. Continue to Ein Gedi for a short hike to David’s Falls in the oasis where David hid from King Saul. Then to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and time to enjoy floating in the salt mineral waters of the Dead Sea. Back to Jerusalem for Shabbat Farewell Dinner at Hotel with local guest to explain the Jewish Shabbat Rituals.

Day 9 Sat Feb 24                                   Departure
Transfer to the airport for flight back home.
