Day 1 Mon Oct 7                                          Canada - Israel

We depart Toronto for the Land of the Bible.

Meals will be served on board. Overnight en route

Day 2 Tue Oct 8                                            Arrival - Jerusalem

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met by a local Sunworld Tours Representative. After visiting the ancient seaport of Jaffa, we will travel by air-conditioned bus up to Jerusalem for a first view of the Golden City.

Day 3 Wed Oct 9                                          Jerusalem

Today we enter the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Temple Mount, pray at the Western Wall and explore its tunnels. We will visit the Davidson Center and walk on the original southern steps that led to the Temple. The Temple Institute and a prayer walk on the ramparts of the Old City Walls follow. After supper, we will enjoy a Bible study with a teacher from the Center For Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation.

Day 4 Thu Oct 10                                          Jerusalem

Today we meet the artists and shop at the Lifeline for the Elderly, then travel to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. We will have a presentation at the BFP Food Bank followed by shopping at Machane Yehuda Market and a visit the Friends of Zion Museum.

Day 5 Fri Oct 11                                            Jerusalem

This morning begins with a camel ride and hospitality at Genesis Land. We’ll then shop on Ben Yehuda Street or the Mamilla Mall. Afterwards, we will plant trees in the land of Israel. We’ll visit an Orthodox Jewish family in their home before the Sabbath begins to learn about their lifestyle and beliefs.

Day 6 Sat Oct 12                                           Jerusalem

We’ll start the day on the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem, the Eastern Gate and the beautiful Kidron Valley. We’ll descend the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane for a time of prayer. We continue to Mount Zion to see the Upper Room of the Last Supper and St. Peter’s Gallicantu, or Caiaphas’ house, where Jesus was imprisoned and where Peter betrayed Him. We end our day reflecting on Jesus’ death and resurrection at the Garden Tomb where we will share communion.

Day 7 Sun Oct 13                                          Dead Sea

Leaving the Holy City, we travel through the Judean Wilderness to Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. On to Masada where we’ll ascend the mountain to the ruins of one of Herod’s palaces by cable car and hear the fascinating story of the 73 AD Roman siege and explore the ancient excavations. We journey home to our desert oasis of Ein Gedi.

Day 8 Mon Oct 14                                        Dead Sea – Erev Sukkot

We start our day with a visit to the world famous botanical gardens at Kibbutz Ein Gedi. We’ll then relax and enjoy the spa facilities or the Dead Sea Beach to float in its salt mineral waters. OPTIONAL: We’ll worship with thousands from around the world at the ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles opening celebration. (Additional cost – See Registration Form)

Day 9 Tue Oct 15                                          Jordan Valley - Galilee - Sukkot

Today we’ll travel north to visit the Kaser El Yehud baptism site on the Jordan River and pass Jericho and the Mount of Temptation. Travelling along the Jordan Valley, we’ll stop in a Jewish Community in Judea to hear from Sondra Baras of Christian Friends of Israeli Communities. Beth Shean, the largest excavation of a Roman city in Israel, is our next stop followed by Beit Zera Aliyah Return Center. After supper our friends from Galilee Green Olive Oil will visit.

Day 10 Wed Oct 16                                     Sea of Galilee /Golan – Sukkot

This morning we’ll enjoy a time of praise and worship during a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, followed by touring Capernaum where Jesus ministered in many miracles, Tabgha, site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fish, the newly excavated synagogue site at Magdala, the Mount of Beatitudes and Caesarea Phillipi.

Day 11 Thu Oct 17                                       Galilee – Mount Carmel – Tel Aviv - Sukkot

Today we visit Nazareth, Jesus’ childhood home and experience the First Century reenactment at Nazareth Village. From the Muhraqa at the top of Mount Carmel, where Elijah battled with the prophets of Baal, we will pray over the Valley of Megiddo - the site of the future Battle of Armageddon. On our descent we will hear from one of the ministry leaders of Kehilat HaCarmel. Travelling along the Mediterranean we’ll visit Caesarea and see the Roman Theater and the aqueduct built by Herod the Great.

Day 12 Fri Oct 18                                         Departure - Canada

We’ll bid a fond “shalom” to those departing Israel.

Today we cross into Jordan at the Allenby Bridge. We’ll meet our new guide and driver who will take us to Mount Nebo and Madaba. Dinner and Overnight in Petra

We’ll enjoy a full day of touring the World Heritage site of Petra.

On our last day in Jordan we’ll travel to Amman airport to fly home.
