Day 2 Sun Sept 8 Israel – Netanya

Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by SMILE, and a Sunworld Tours representative then drive into Tel Aviv to the Dugit Ministry Prayer Tower where we will begin our tour in Israel with a prayer over the city of Tel Aviv. After, we then will visit Independence Hall. To rest after our travels, we drive to Netanya for free time to enjoy the beach and a walk along the Mediterranean.

Day 3 Mon Sept 9 Coastal Plain – Haifa

Today's itinerary includes visits to Caesarea, Tents of Mercy in Kiryat Yam a drive along the Beautiful Mediterranean Coast to Rosh Hanikra and take the cable car down to the grottos. Next we're off to Mount Carmel (Muhraqa) where Elijah called down the fire on the idol worshipers of Ba'al.

Day 4 Tue Sept 10 Galilee

First stop is Tel Megiddo where on this site towns have been built and rebuilt for 6,000 years. Onward to the Jezreel Valley, is where historians believe that more battles were fought at this location than anywhere else on earth. Then to Nazareth Village where we will enjoy Martha's lunch and time to explore the gift shops. Four miles northeast of Nazareth we stop in Cana where Yeshua performed his first miracle of turning water into wine. We will have an opportunity to plant a tree in the Lavi Forest and then enjoy a guided tour of an agricultural

Day 5 Wed Sept 11 Sea of Galilee

Beginning with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee with Daniel Carmel then view the Jesus Boat found in the Galilee when water levels reached historical low levels, it's thought to be from the time of Yeshua. Then on to the recently unearthed Magdela, the home of Mary of Magdela, where fish were salted before being exported "By the Way of the Sea" onto ships bound to the known world. We will see excavated ruins of a most exquisite synagogue; a place where Yeshua likely attended. After an optional burger at Burgerim in modern Magdela Mall we shall stop at the ancient synagogue site of Capernaum. This is where the centurion's servant was healed and Mathew the tax collector was called to be a disciple. We will travel around to the east side of the Kinneret to Hippos (Sussita) the central city of the Decapolis, then on to Gamla, also known as the Massada of the north that was destroyed by the Romans in the Jewish revolt of 67 BCE. It's the place where Josephus was its defense commander. It was discovered and excavated in 1967, 1,900 years later.

Day 6 Thu Sept 12 Golan Heights

Today we experience the Golan, with our first stop at Golan magic, to get the lay of the land. Next door we will see a working olive oil factory. On to a Druze village, (where they make the best falafel in the Land). Later, we drive past drive past Nimrod’s Fortress then, security permitting, will visit an Israeli Army Base and a Jeep tour before heading to Caesarea Philipi and the tributaries of the Jordan at Banias. Onward we'll journey to the Hula Valley. This migratory bird landing site is on the flight path from the Arctic Circle to Africa and was formerly swamp land. The JNF have recognized the Canadian contribution to this important site by dedicating it as the Steven Harper Observatory.

Day 7 Fri Sept 13 Jordan Valley – Dead Sea

We begin this day with a stop at the ARC Centre at Beit Zerah. This Kibbutz is being reconstructed and renovated by Return Ministries and international volunteers, including Canadians. Currently, three buildings have been completed and are being used for pre and post IDF service personnel and Lone Soldier quarters. Beit Shean another archaeological site of interest is our next visit. Kaser El Yehud for the opportunity to be immersed at the traditionally recognized location where John the Immerser baptized Yeshua the Messiah. Then, no visit to Israel is complete unless you visit Herod's legendary fortress at Massada.

Day 8 Sat Sept 14 Dead Sea

After a buoyant float in the Dead Sea we'll stop by Ein Gedi and hike to where David hid from King Saul for a breathtaking view of the Lower and Upper Falls.

Day 9 Sun Sept 15 Dead Sea – Jerusalem

On the way to Jerusalem today we start with a visit to Qumran. For the Biblical historian Qumran is the historic site where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Onward to the Holy City, we begin this leg of the tour by praying the Shehekianah blessing over Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Following that we will be dropped off at Zion Gate for a walking tour of David’s Tomb, then proceed to the Temple Institute to see the display of recreated Temple Artifacts that will be used in the Third Temple. Moving on to Herodion Quarter we will experience the dramatic presentation of the 70 C.E. Roman destruction of Jerusalem at the Burnt House exhibit. Afterward we will have free time to shop in the Cardo or at Machane Yehuda. This evening we will watch the new and spectacular Night Show at David's Tower or the new show at the City of David.

Day 10 Mon Sept 16 Jerusalem

Today's adventure will take us to the Davidson Centre and see the Southern Wall excavation then have a chance to explore the Wet or Dry Tunnels beneath the City of David and exit at the Pool of Siloam. We'll move on to the Western Wall and wander with our guide through the West Wall Tunnels. When we surface, we'll investigate the Sook, the Arab Market on the way back through to Jaffa gate. If you choose you can ride the LRT back to hotel along Jaffa Road. NOTE: the hotel is about 15 blocks away.

Day 11 Tue Sept 17 Jerusalem

After visiting the Israel Aquarium in Jerusalem we make our way to the Braum Centre and from here we could take a walk down Ben Yehuda Street for some more shopping. Onward we'll meet at the Friends of Zion Museum where a bus will meet us at Independence Park for a trip to Gethsemane and the Garden Tomb.

Day 12 Wed Sept 18 Jerusalem-Tel Aviv-Samaria

Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum is a somber reminder of a tragic time in humanity's history. This event was the key that finally instigated the rebirth of the nation of Israel. We'll depart to Bet Guvrin and the Maresha National Park and the Bell Caves. This geological structure and labyrinth was created from the mining of Chalk used in ancient times to decorate buildings in Jerusalem. Moving on we'll drive into Tel Aviv to visit the Palmach Museum to learn about the origins of
the Israeli Defense Force. On this evening we'll watch the animatronic show at the Life-size Tabernacle Model.

Day 13 Thur Sept 19 Samaria

On our last full day in the Land we begin with the Biblical Garden tour on the site of our Eshel HaShomron Hotel. Boarding the tour bus we travel to the Shiloh Ruins where the tabernacle was set up by Joshua and were the Ark of the Covenant remained for 369 years. We'll stand atop Elon Moreh is where God told Abraham, "To your descendants will I give this land" (Genesis 12:7). This was first location where Abraham settled after crossing the Jordan River. We will stop at a local winery near Shilo before returning to the hotel pack for home and for one last swim in the pool.
