Day 1 Mon Jun 17       Departure

Depart Newark to Israel

Day 2 Tue Jun 18       Arrival Tel Aviv

Arrive Tel Aviv. Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport you will be met by SMILE and a local Sunworld Tours representative to help with airport formalities. Meet your local guide and driver and travel to the ancient seaport of Jaffa where Peter stayed with Simon the Tanner (Acts 10 & 11). A short visit of Tel Aviv Port (Joppa) where Jonah boarded a ship to run from the mission God had asked of him (Jonah 1). Enjoy a stroll on the Mediterranean Coast before we meet for orientation and dinner.

Day 3 Wed Jun 19       Caesarea/Mt Carmel/Nazareth

After breakfast depart drive through the Sharon valley along the “Way of the Sea” to Caesarea. Visit the remains of this important Roman City where the Gentiles were first empowered with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10 & 11). Explore the Roman Theater and the aqueduct built by Herod the Great. Travel via Mt. Carmel with a view of the Jezreel Valley to visit Tel Meggido, known as the site of the Last Battle of Armageddon. 1 Kings 18). Travel through the Galilee to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood to visit Nazareth Village. Have a short stop at the top of Mt. Precipice for a view over Nazareth and the breathtaking Valley.

Day 4 Thu Jun 20       Sea of Galilee

This morning enjoy a boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee with music and worship. Visit the Ginosar ancient boat museum. Visit the sites associated with the Ministry of Jesus including ancient Capernaum where Jesus spent much of his time during his ministry, Tabgha, site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fish. Visit Magdala, a newly excavated site, the home of Mary Magdalene. Drive to Mt. of the Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-8) and enjoy a view of the Sea of Galilee. End the day with a visit and baptism service at the Yardenit Baptism site.

Day 5 Fri Jun 21       Upper Galilee – Golan Heights

Travel north to the Upper Galilee for a Jeep Ride to the Golan Heights. Continue to visit Caesarea Phillipi and Banias National Park and Falls. Enjoy a view of the Golan Heights from Mt. Bental Bunker. Drive through the Golan Heights to Shalom Vista for a view of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 6 Sat Jun 22       Jordan Valley - Jerusalem

This morning, travel south, along the Jordan Valley to Beth Shean (2 Samuel 21) - the largest excavations of a Roman city in Israel. Continue along the Jordan Valley for a stop in the area of the Biblical Gilgal. View Jericho, the oldest and lowest inhabited city in the world, and then continue to Jerusalem via Wadi Kelt on the old Roman road. Stop for a magnificent view of St. George Monastery. Enjoy a Camel Ride and Biblical Hospitality and lunch at Abraham’s Tent at Genesis Land. Enter Jerusalem as a pilgrimage. Enjoy a view of the Holy City from Mt. Scopus.

Day 7 Sun Jun 23       Jerusalem

Today visit the City of David and walk through the 3400BCE Hezekiah’s Tunnel and the Pool of Siloam (John 9). Enter the Old City of Jerusalem to Visit the Davidson Center and the original Southern Steps that led to the Temple. Pray at the Western Wall and visit the Temple Institute. Ascend up to Temple Mount and the West Wall Tunnel.

Day 8 Mon Jun 24       Jerusalem

Drive to Mt. Of Olives for a breath taking panoramic view of the old city of Jerusalem, the Eastern Gate and the beautiful Kidron Valley. Descend to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed for God's will to be done (Luke 22). Continue to Mt. Zion to see the Room of the Last Supper (Luke 22) and St. Peter in Gallicantu, where Jesus was imprisoned for the night. Visit the Pool of Bethesda (John 5) and St. Anne’s. Enjoy quiet reflection and prayer at the Garden Tomb. (I Corinthians 15, Luke 24, Mark 16). Rest of the day at Leisure at Machane Yehuda or Ben Yehuda Market Streets.

Day 9 Tue Jun 25       Massada/Dead Sea

This morning descend down to the Dead Sea, the lowest area in the world. . Visit Massada, to ascend the mountain by cable car to explore the ruins of one of Herod’s Palaces. Hear the fascinating story of the 73AD Roman siege of the fortress. Visit the Desert Oasis of Ein Gedi and enjoy a short hike up to King David’s Falls. Continue to visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947. Enjoy a float in the salt mineral waters of the Dead Sea.

Day 10 Wed Jun 26       Jerusalem
This morning view Bethlehem from Ramat Rachel Olive Garden. Travel via Ein Karem and through the Judean Hills and Emmaus to visit the Valley of Ellah, site of the Battle of David and Goliath. Afternoon at leisure in the Old City or Optional to visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum.

Day 11 Thu Jun 27 Departure
Transfer to the airport for departure
