Day 2 Fri Nov 18 Arrive Israel - Coastal Plain
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International airport you will be met by SMILE, your local Sunworld Tour representative. We will drive through the city of Tel Aviv to Jaffa, where Peter stayed with Simon the Tanner. Walk around the renovated artist’s quarter and enjoy a breathtaking view of the shoreline of Tel Aviv. Transfer to hotel for welcome dinner and overnight

Day 3 Sat Nov 19 Coastal Plain – Galilee
Travel along the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea. Visit the remains of this important Roman City where the Gentiles first empowered with the Holy Spirit (Acts 10 & 11). After breakfast, travel to Mt. Carmel to visit the Muhraqa (1 Kings 18). commemorating where Elijah the Prophet defeated the prophets of Baal and enjoy a beautiful view of the Valley of Jezreel End the day with a view of the Bahai Hanging Gardens at the port city of Haifa.

Day 4 Sun Nov 20 The Galilee – Sea of Galilee
Visit Megiddo, the fortress of King Solomon and where the Final Battle of Armageddon is said to take place. Continue to visit Gideon’s springs and view the Gilboa Mountains. Travel through the Galilee to Nazareth to visit Nazareth Village, a reconstructed village from the time of Jesus. Enjoy a view of the Jezreel Valley and Nazareth from Mt. Precipice. Ascend up to Mt. Tabor to visit the site of the Transfiguration. Continue to Mt. Arbel for a view of the Sea of Galilee and the Jesus Trail.

Day 5 Mon Nov 21 Sea of Galilee – Upper Galilee
Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee with music and worship and visit the Ancient Boat Museum at Kibbutz Genosar.
On to visit the newly excavated site of Magdala. Visit Capernaum and the synagogue where Jesus chose to center his ministry and view the Mt. of Beatitudes. Continue to the Upper Galilee to visit Caesarea Philipi and Banias National Park. Enjoy views of the Golan Heights before returning to the Sea of Galilee.

Day 6 Tue Nov 22 Jordan Valley - Dead Sea
This morning visit Yardenit Baptism site on the Jordan River. Travel south along the Jordan Valley to explore the excavated Roman city of Beit Shean. We continue to the lowest area in the World the Dead Sea to visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and enjoy a short hike up to David’s Falls at the oasis of EinGedi where David hid from King Saul.
Spend some time to visit the Fortress of Masada. End the day at a Dead Sea Resort.

Day 7 Wed Nov 23 Dead Sea – Jerusalem
Free morning to relax and enjoy the Dead Sea facilities. Continue to Kfar HaNokdim Bedouin camp for Desert Hospitality and a camel ride. Travel via the Judean Hills up to Jerusalem. Visit the Israel Museum to see the Model of First Century Jerusalem. On to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus to visit Manger Square, Shepherd’s Field and have time for shopping at the Beit Sahour Souvenir Store

Day 8 Thu Nov 24 Jerusalem
Start the day with a visit to Yad Vashem museum. Continue to City of David and walk through the 3400BCE Hezekiah’s Tunnel and the Pool of Siloam (John 9) to Warren’s Shaft. Enter the Old City Walls of Jerusalem to visit Davidson Center and the original Southern Steps that led to the Temple. Walk through the Jewish Quarter and Cardo. Pray at the Western Wall.
Continue to the Mt. Of Olives. Walk down the Palm Sunday path to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed for God’s will to be done (Luke 22). Walk along the Way of the Cross and old city markets. Visit the Pool of Bethesda (John 5) and St. Anne’s Church ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Spend time in the old city markets. End the day with quiet reflection and prayer at the Garden Tomb (I Corinthians 15, Luke 24, Mark 16).

Day 9 Fri Nov Jerusalem – Mt. Nebo – Madaba-Petra
For those who choose the extension to Jordan we will depart after breakfast for Allenby Bridge to cross into Jordan. Meet your guide and bus in Jordan and drive to Mt Nebo, the most revered holy sites of Jordan, where Moses viewed the Promise Land of Canaan and told by God “you shell nor cross over there”. This is also the resting place of Moses. Continue to biblical Madaba, the City of Mosaics best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. The famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy land covers the floor of the Greek Orthodox church of St Georges.

Day 10 Sat Nov Petra
After breakfast visit the Nabataea’s city of Petra consider the Jewel in Jorda’s crown. Travel to see the ancient Crusader stronghold, Karak. Karak is 900m above sea level and lies inside the walls of the old city. The city today boast a number of restored 19th century Ottoman buildings, restaurants, places and Karak Castle. Continue to Machaerus which is a fortified hilltop is overlooking the Dead Sea where John the Baptist was imprisoned and executed. Drive to Allenby Border to cross back to Israel.

Day 11 Sun Departure
After breakfast transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your flight home.
