Arrive in Rome where you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel for rest and relaxation.

Day  2  Ancient Rome

Visit today the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Piazza Venezia. Continue to the Roman Forum and Capitol. Tour the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Circus of Maximus, Porta S. Paolo, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and the Church of St. Peter in Chains, where the statue of “Moses”by Michelangelo is located.

Day  3  Rome

Begin the day with Mass at the Vatican, then onto the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s. See the Spiral Staircase, the Tapestries Gallery, Raphael’s Rooms and the magnificent fresco at the Sistine Chapel. Visit St. Maria Maggiore Basilica and stop at the Holy Staircase. Continue to visit St. John in Lateran Basilica and the Cathedral of Rome. Then see the Catacombs of St. Sebastian via the Appia Antica and the Baths of Caracalla.

Day  4  Papal Audience

This morning, attend the weekly Wednesday Papal Audience and Blessing given by the Holy Father. The afternoon is free to conduct own private devotion, activities and shopping.

Day  5  Assisi

Travel through the vineyards and olive groves to Assisi located on the slopes of Mt. Subasio, home of St. Francis and St. Clare. In the afternoon visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Church of the Porziuncola, where St. Francis prayed and walk through the Rose Garden and where St. Francis threw himself upon the thorns.

Day  6  Assisi

Celebrate a Mass at the Crypt of St. Francis under the huge Basilica of St. Francis, which contains many of St. Francis possessions. Walk through the narrow streets to the Basilica of St. Clare and the Cathedral of San Rufino. View the castle of Rocca Maggiore.

Day  7  Assisi – Florence

Depart for Florence, city of Michelangelo. Have a walking tour of this delightful city. Visit the Academy Museum to see the original painting of David, then onto the Cathedral S. Maria Del Fiore, the Duomo, the Baptistery with the Golden doors of Ghiberti, Giotto’s Bell Tower and onto the historical center of the town Piazza Della Signora.

Day  8  Florence - Pisa

The morning is free. In the afternoon depart for Pisa, situated on the Arno River. Visit the Pizza Dei Miracoli, The Cathedral and Baptistery with its famous organ and the famous Leaning Tower.

Day  9 Florence - Venice

Travel to Veniceone of the world’s unique cities. Stroll through the Square and Doges Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Take a relaxing Gondola ride. Celebrate holy Mass at St. Marks Cathedral.

Transfer to airport of Milan to fly home
